HCG Diet Allowed Foods
In order to be successful with your HCG diet, you need to know what foods are allowed. Keep the following HCG diet food list on hand. It is a list of foods approved for the main diet phase (called Phase 2 or Core Phase). You can use it for a shopping list when you go to the grocery store. A few rules to keep in mind:
- Very low fat content is a common feature of all foods in this list.For drinks, only artificial sweeteners are allowed, so never add sugar. If you can take your coffee black or your tea unsweetened, it is for the best. A bit of milk can be included on your food list for HCG diet, but limit to only a spoonful per 24 hours, added to your breakfast beverage of choice.Chicken breasts must be removed from the bones before cooking.Make sure you do not exceed 100 grams of meat per lunch or dinner.Measure the quantity of meat when raw, not after cooking.Grilling and boiling are the preferred methods for cooking meat on the HCG diet.Certain fatty fish like salmon, eel, tuna and herring should not be on your HCG diet grocery list.Pick only one type of vegetable to eat per lunch or dinner; combinations are not allowed.The same rule applies to fruits, as well.Oils, even vegetable oils, are not allowed on this diet,so try other cooking methods, like poaching or boiling.
